A lovely afternoon in the Peak District. More mud than we'd bargained on and it was rather treacherous on places but I had fun. Not sure the boys did - they gave it 3/10, 1 mark each for the stepping stones, the sunset and the biscuit/flapjack near the end.

Welford Bear has been parcelled off to the first destination of his eTwinning trip around Europe; Wales! Hope it makes it back in June! Welford is on the right - Wellard on the left is keeping Jude smiling  as he's quite attached to Welford ;)

Smiles 298:365

It's half term. At last.
John is back from Denmark.
Boys are both doing well at school.
I can have a lie on tomorrow.
My friend Dom got a new job, Dawn was confirmed in her up until now Acting role, and Rachel finally got to move house.
I received an email mentioning Denmark and LEGO that, whilst highly improbable, made me smile.
And so to the picture that tickled me. I'm so juvenile ;)

Bogdan has joined our family amidst great joy and celebration, his imminent arrival having been tracked for the last week or so as he travelled across the globe from Meerkovo, 2271 miles apparently!

Eziel (the meerkat!) decided to photobomb this welcome shot!

Smiles as I met and re-met parents of children in Jude's year at school as we attended a meeting about the Year 7 residential. Amazing how many parents I recognised, some from back when Isaac was at play group and nursery, let alone Jude!

Aimee taught me something I didn't know about iOS7 that was bugging me - and me the ADE!

And Thursday is my Friday as no work (apart from planning!) so a relieved smile that I don't have to stand up all day tomorrow!

A duck in a shower in Dubendorf - and it's emigrating to the UK!

Great to have the boys back after their sleepover too.

Bored with my foot and airboot, I decided to allow Chuchi monkey to use it as a climbing frame.
He seemed to have fun.

That's me! Not a bad rendition although there was no plaster/airboot option. Not even a bandage.

Taxi rides galore today - I shall soon become an expert - and another jaunt around Sutton on a mobility scooter (so far no mishaps)
Reunited with some of my teaching resources from storage but I had to be selective and leave some behind until the next visit as we couldn't carry much. Jude was very pleased to be reunited with a green dragon called Dragee.
Waitrose curry is rather good. I think M&S may have lost my curry custom as their choice is more limited.
I successfully made some white school shirts white again! Very pleased with that!
Now time for sleep as John's off early tomorrow.

This is Mango. He is a 'marvellous monkey' and appears all over the house in the least expected places, today in a pencil pot on my desk. He has his own language and a business empire too. And he makes me smile :o)

And it was a beautiful morning - very very cold but the sun was shining and the sky was blue.

Things I heard today that made me smile.
A number of @SoVeryBritish tweets that confirm that, whilst I am becoming more 'Swiss', I am still very British!
An interesting proposal from an 'old' friend.
@ianaddison being spammed by a hill!

An army of Lego figures advancing across the living room floor. If only they were fighting against the fast accumulating dust...

And another smile today was this morning at 'drop off' when the children decided to knock all the snow off the bicycle shelter by banging on the sides. There were children from all the grades having a go and their coordination in simultaneous banging was wordless. Great to see kids enjoying the snow.

Things I heard that made me smile
When asked the name of the person on CBBC, Jude replied Mile Tyson. And had no idea why we laughed as we looked at the skinny white bloke on TV.
@ceparker71 liked my "Spanish glasses"
I took part in #BigMacBook on Twitter. My favourites - Mr Happy Meal (@MrBirchICT) McChicken Licken (@TraceyKewley) and Lord of the Fries (me!)

Who could fail to smile at a Chicaboo or two? A toy of my childhood, they're now called Monchhichi and Jude got two for Christmas. I think it's the choochie cheeks, cheeky eyes and fur that do it! They're called Chichi and Choochi.
