Thanks to Viv for sharing this with me today, thus doing as advised on the calendar!

Two parcels waiting for me at work - I love parcels!
Some good conversations with colleagues.
I managed to get through the day at school without using my 'angry' voice, just my 'cross' one when Y5 were soooo fussy!
I finally managed to get into the Google Hangout that I wanted to attend.
TGBBO hadn't finished when my meeting ended so I got to see Johnny Vaughan discover how to use the oven properly on Day 2, having grilled (by accident) biscuits and a tarte tatin the previous day!!
And I'm lying in a hot bath writing this, considering why exactly I was planning science lessons in my sleep at 3am last night/this morning, particularly as they had nothing to do with space (which would make some sense as I am actually teaching that sometimes this term.)

Smiles 227:365

Fruit related smiles today!

John is back from USA and made me my "wake up" cup of tea before climbing into Isaac's bed for a snooze (I'd had a bad night so was finally comfortable spread across ours, snoozing!)
I've organised the 'coat cupboard' - how long that will last is anybody's guess!
Big smile every time it's painkiller time. Well, 20 minutes after that actually...
Lots of clever 18 year olds getting their exam results and posting excited messages on FB.
Realising that a new SIM in my phone means that I can start Sneezies all over again:o)

The poshest toilets ever seen... decorated with eggs in shot glasses! That made me smile! This was at Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern which has 5 stars and, I'm told, exceptionally comfortable beds that are just too comfortable for some people! As a fan of a hard bed, I can understand that!

This sight also made me smile - very colourful, and the start of a great day of looking at technology in education. I liked the fact that time and again it was mentioned that tools must be appropriate for the task and that iPads can't do everything! Even having to 'wipe' them all at the end of the day made me smile as I was woefully slow compared to the speed and skill of people who do it 3 or 4 times a week!
Great to see some 'old' friends too and make some new ones.

And chocolate too! I feel guilty that someone else's loss was my gain, but I shall make sure that Adrien gets chocolate next time I see him!

Also making me smile today - I returned home to find Isaac making koftas for tea, and John helping him. Between them they added 5 cloves of garlic and a unique mixture of herbs and spices. I have to say that the koftas were delicious nonetheless.

What's made me smile today?
Two iPad related videos!

 iPads are very useful but...

And great (and some not so great) memories here!

Also amused by the Tweeting going on around the election of the new Pope; pigeons and chimney stacks with Twitter accounts - whatever next?

*I'm a little behind with my posts thanks to a conference Friday-Sunday and now being in the mountains with limited connectivity, it may take me time to catch up. If I do, formatting will be a little odd until Friday when I can tidy it all up. Rest assured that I'm still smiling though!*

John bought this little beauty back from his travels for me. Lucky girl! It's so cute and so sleek. Fits in my handbag and still big enough for me to type on it two handed.

And I had to smile as I hared around Winterthur freezing to an icicle, being stared at by the locals as I took pictures with my iPad and made a treasure hunt using Huntzz.

I also smiled when we were provided with Chana Dahl by the mum of one of the students on the committee when we met today!
