Smiles 201:365

This morning we hopped into a Mini Cooper and popped off to Kreuzlingen with plans! And many smiles ensued.

First off a trip onto Bodensee on a pedalo - such fun! Pedaloes have come on since I was a kid with comfy deck chair seats and far more room! We even got a sunshade!

The trip was made even better by meeting two families of ducks. So sweet - they swam over to say hello, stared at Jude and followed us for quite a while!

After a wonderful hour 'pedalo-ing', our next plan kicked in - reclaiming tax from shops. About 60 euros worth today! I like walking into shops and they give you money!

And then lunch at Maximillians and home to change before a visit to Buchberg with the Pickups. An incident filled trip featuring close encounters with greenery in Flach, various playground japes, a beautiful sunset and a bus with an identity crisis as well as delicious food and great company!

So many smiles - and glorious sunshine too! What more could I want?

Smiles 145:366

A trip to Konstanz this morning began with these very nicely presented - and very tasty! - beverages, and continued with lots of productive shopping.

And then this evening, we went into Zürich to watch the Champions League final in the Kaiser Franz pub. Except we watched it from outside as the people inside were spilling out of the door. Good view of the screen though!
And as we stood on the pavement, a load of Italian Catholics processed down the road, celebrating a saint's day (we think!)

Carb loading now ready for tomorrow...

Smiles 93:365

This time last year (above) I was sunbathing in Konstanz - it's rather colder this year but I was still wearing my dungarees!

Lots of smiles today, not least this evening when I was interviewed by @EDUTalkr aka John and David for their weekly radio broadcast. Great to talk to them and great to share some ideas and thoughts about education, technology and creativity. I'm going to have to write something about it as I've now thought of so much more that I could have said and want to say! But not now as I have a good book to read, a bath run and a cup of chocolate Horlicks to drink.
Big smile!
