Today's photo is courtesy of Kathy who saw it in a window in Chipping Camden. Thanks!

And then there was Jude's pizza made in Food Tech - perfect if you don't like cheese!

Today it has rained. And John has gone to Australia. So not very smile inducing but I have.
Organising my lovely but very vague laid back son, organising my Pinterest pages and organising all the programmes I wanted to watch. I like organising! 😉

Shared by Rachel on Friday - very true! I really hadn't.
However I did write a report on Spring Term and investigated how to write reports on a new platform. Didn't start them though as I had to catch up with Hinterland too!

MoreSmiles 124:365

Even on days when nothing much happens (like today) there are plenty of reasons for me to smile. Family, friends, sunshine, a home, safety, freedom, food and drink and lots more. And most of all, life.

It was a rainy grey day today so this is very appropriate.
I hope I made some people smile as I rode into Sutton draped in plastic sheeting to keep my legs dry. I certainly smiled at how odd I looked!

"Never stop smiling even when you're sad as you never know who might fall in love with your smile." Gabriel García Márquez

An airboot rather than a plaster cast.
A trip to the garden centre.
And my little boy is coming home (although Eurostar nearly cocked up that one!)

MoreSmiles 103:365

A good sleep, a sunny day and lawn mowing are all things that made me smile today.
The smile was wiped off my face by a tree root and my foot having an altercation which resulted in a cracked ankle and I'm back in plaster again :(
Still, it could be far worse: I didn't need an operation to reset it, I will walk again eventually and it is far from life threatening. So I'm smiling still.
Although that could be the painkillers... ;)

MoreSmiles 90-94:365

No Smiles for a few days as I have been too ill to get up let alone do anything else. However, feeling a little better today so I'm back!
I'm in Lancaster with lots of friends old and new. Hurrah!

No voice and feel rotten but you have to smile when the kid with the most problems and needs in the class greets you with a smile every time he sees you and enthusiastically sticks up his hand even when he doesn't know the answer because he enjoys Spanish so much!

(Translation : Smile. Today is an excellent day to be proud to be who you are)

Smiles 347:365

Sometimes I feel when I'm beyond tired and plain weary that I forget this and don't give my loved ones my best. So today I saved them my smiles (easier as I wasn't at work!)

I did some smiling this morning though at running/core, especially as I reached the top of Cardiac Hill without succumbing to a coronary!
I smiled this morning as Isaac, on instructions from his Dad, patiently popped upstairs every 5-10 minutes to make sure I hadn't gone back to sleep.
And Jude came home with great news from school about being made a Creative Arts Learning Ambassador at school. He's very excited!
Bernard Cribbins on HIGNFY, singing, also made me smile.

Smiles 339:365

I'm writing this through tears as I am so sad at the death of a great man, a hero who lived out his words and changed his beloved country, and the world.
Yet I am smiling.
Smiling because I can't think of Nelson Mandela without doing so. He was rarely without a smile; cheerful, hopeful, exuberant.
Smiling at his unique dancing style so often spontaneously demonstrated.
Smiling at memories of the Rugby World Cup; Mandela and Pienaar embracing, and jumping around the living room with my Dad.
Smiling at the momentous events over the last 20 years that for so long seemed impossible, especially for special friends from Matezenloop.

And I'll keep smiling. And keep believing in the impossible. And keeping on picking myself up when I fall.

RIP Madiba

Smiles 327:365

As I was stretching my hamstrings - very ineptly! - I thought of the above.
And I thought you'd like a smile at me doing it. The boys found it quite amusing at least!

Smiles 326:365

(Gist translation: When life is all monochrome,  smile some colours into it)

A good run on a cold day.
Good news about yesterday's drama - so relieved!
New pink and green pens (so sad that I get so excited about writing implements!)
Jude has been nominated by his ICT teacher for a chance to go to the Gadget Show.
Two interesting (work related) invites.
It's the weekend!

Smiles 317:365

Good to see a sea of smiling faces greeting me when I had an observation today! Also good to see observer smiling!

And in note that it's impossible to sung Chitty Chitty Bang bang without smiling!

Bit busy tonight so just time for a thought!
I wonder if smiling a my windscreen will break the ice and save on de-icer?

Smiles 312:365

This had me guffawing. If I had been at work, I might have wet myself, especially if it was after lunchtime when teacher bladders are at their fullest ;)
It is not only true, but the baby's face is so cute!
