A meeting of mobility scooters made me smile - I met Mum coming in the opposite direction and we caused a few raised eyebrows (mine newly threaded) as we had a chat.
A jet lagged John trying to help me clothes shop from the other side of the world via Whatsapp also amused me.
And conquering (well beginning to conquer!) writing reports on SPTO made me smile. It's a teacher thing!

A lie in makes the world seem better (even if your alarm clock goes off at 6am and needs hitting before you go back to sleep!)

A fun shopping trip and quite tasty lunch.

Splash final and lots of time for (catching up on) blogging.

It's the little things!

MoreSmiles 35:365

My FB video made me smile today as it featured photos from years ago about which I'd forgotten!

And it rained! Didn't make me smile but the above that I made in Switzerland did!

This cartoon made me giggle.
And coping with a challenge session involving hill repetitions made me happy too - so not n the mood but was flying at points.
I also enjoyed talking to potential Erasmus+ partners via Skype.

Very amusing - mainly because I don't currently have a cold! I like this little infographics from www.earlylanguages.com

Other smiles today.
Having given a H&S talk to year 6 about the dangers of using glue guns, I promptly did exactly what I told them not to do and burned my finger! D'oh Miss!
The children's Christmas lunch at school always raises plenty of smiles. I was particularly amused by making children wear their paper hats 'because that's the Christmas law!'
The end of a working week for me during which I have felt utterly exhausted and at times far from my best.

A sneak peek at the nativity backdrop at WPS. This chicken or chiken really made me smile.

Making Christingles in RE was great fun too - although I'm slightly concerned that when I asked everyone to pick up their candle, at least 3 children picked up a cocktail stick...

Now for Cabaret rehearsal - I've been practicing not spitting when singing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ;)

Smiles 327:365

As I was stretching my hamstrings - very ineptly! - I thought of the above.
And I thought you'd like a smile at me doing it. The boys found it quite amusing at least!

Smiles 326:365

(Gist translation: When life is all monochrome,  smile some colours into it)

A good run on a cold day.
Good news about yesterday's drama - so relieved!
New pink and green pens (so sad that I get so excited about writing implements!)
Jude has been nominated by his ICT teacher for a chance to go to the Gadget Show.
Two interesting (work related) invites.
It's the weekend!

This made me smile as it's so true!

As did this. I do prefer to smile. And I try to do so as much as possible which explains my "smile lines" ;o)

Thank goodness that the temperature was marginally more bearable today thanks to the thunderstorm last night. Nothing like a Swiss thunderstorm. A quick dip at the Badi helped us bear it too. (To think we were moaning it was too cold only a couple of weeks ago!)

Smiles 153:365

I made this a while ago in response to the looks of bewilderment I frequently  draw when I walk around smiling. I think there are people who fear I am a few sandwiches short of a picnic but I'm not bothered.

My preferred picture for today would be if my little sleeping beauty who returned from a sleepover and promptly fell asleep on the sofa for three hours. However I promised not to post pictures and that's ok.

The sun made me smile as did a rather tasty Butterkeks ice cream. And I've started writing a 'shopping list' for one of my new jobs - always a joy, never a chore!

Smiles 152:365

The weather here has been vile recently (a few brief glimpses of sun excepted) but there are some benefits - 10% "bad weather discount" in Migros today! Only in Switzerland!

Both boys really wanted to throw themselves down into these cushions at the Kunsthaus today but restrained themselves as they were part if an art installation. That made me smile as did not having to pay the entrance fee as the museum had a "Tag der Offenen Tür" or Open Day :0)

And another Cole bottle, this time for my
Schnüggel or 'sweetie/cutie' - except our "Schnüggel" (Jude) doesn't like fizzy drinks so I had to drink it ;)

Finally, I ticked another item off my 'things to do before leaving Switzerland' today. Still no cuckoo clock ;0)

I liked this poster shared on FB today.

And I liked that the sun came out, even if it was only the afternoon. That's what the end of May should be like!

If you wondered why there are areas of Zürich Hauptbahnhof behind hoardings, there are giant PlayMobil men working with proportionally oversized shovels ;)
A cheery way to start the day - added to the heisse Schoggi this morning as a treat for bring early!

More smiles at school courtesy of Kindergarten including comments on wrinkles (not mine) and the sight of a a group of incredibly muddy kids emerging from the garden area having had rather a lot of fun making garden art, building 'hotels' and finding mini beasts.
