Inspired by the lovely Fátima, I made cupcakes or buns as my Mum would call them. Coffee with chocolate chip on the left (for the boys) and plain with raisin and cranberry on the right (for the adults)

Smiles all around.

Jude made his first cake today - not bad given his teacher ;) and it was delicious.
The boys gave me a lovely necklace for Mothers Day and made me several cups of tea. And their cards were hilarious.

Liverpool won 4-0 (half the house are unamused by the result) and are top of the league.

And Jude's tweet a fortnight ago about a poster in M&S has been retweeted over 30 times this evening for some reason. Possibly helped by it being retweeted by Phil Willis from Radio5! Jude is very chuffed! (At time of publishing , 36 retweets and 11 favourites!)h

Kids do the funniest things!
This was last year at IPC - Benjamin inside the drum kit case, zipped in by his brother.

Some very earnest Y3s today made me smile with their attempts to help me, and the 'creative'  spelling of some Y5s amused me no end.
GBBO does Sport Relief was on and made me smile as always, this time mainly because I could bake a better cake than most of the contestants!

A run in the park on a chilly but lovely day.
Watching the sky turn pink and orange.
And singing Happy Birthday to two ofy favourite people (late but Jude couldn't face food let alone chocolate cake earlier!)

An image from yesterday.
I think I'll copy Sarah and get a Tattly as encouragement next time I run a half marathon. A good reminder for everyday not just when running to be honest!
And one from today - my pink pixie! Thanks to Rob who's an artistic whizz with an iPad (and not just with an iPad!) and drew this for me!
Wondering what to call her? Any suggestions?

Smiles today -
The joy of making Dorset Apple Cake with self raising flour for the first time in 2 years.
A tidy desk and dining room table.
Summer and winter clothes swapped.
Remaining untouched by 'The Great Storm' - seriously underwhelmed and slightly disappointed too. I had high hopes for a fence that needs replacing...
Reading in bed.

A tale of two cupcakes!

A pupil said to me as she lined up on Tuesday "I've got a cupcake for you in my locker." I asked if she'd made one for the class and had one left for me, and she said "no, I made one for you and one for Mrs R-D."  I nearly burst into tears in front of the class, I was so touched! When you don't have your own class, work part-time and are nomadic, little things like that mean the world! Bless you L xx

And today, after International Day at WPS dressed in my Dirndl and fighting hard all day to contain the excitement in my classroom (and outside it when Y6 went on my Swiss QR trail)  to a reasonable level of noise, and then another staff meeting after yesterday's, and then driving home through Birmingham in rush hour traffic, I was called upon to make cupcakes for a bake sale tomorrow. I love Jude's generosity and willingness to throw himself into all sorts of activities, and am proud of him volunteering to help raise money for a sick child, but I really was not in the mood for baking. I did though - having gone to Tesco Express in my PJs - and I have to admit that they tasted rather good. So much better with self-raising flour (take the hint, Switzerland!)

Other smiles over the last two days -
dance staff meeting at WCPS - we were awesome!
GBBO - Howard was annoying us with his voice.
some of the beautiful outfits today, especially the girl with the chopsticks in her hair, and the Greek goddess Athena.
a hot bath!

NB - the above picture does NOT depict my cupcakes but it made me smile!
