I survived the Furkapass.
Jude is back with us and had a great time with Matteo.
Chooch wrote two amusing songs.
We found somewhere for dinner - and it was delicious.
Everywhere I look, the views are glorious (even if the height scares me!)

Rösti - guaranteed to make me smile!

Beautiful mountains - also guaranteed to put a smile on my face (even if the cable car ride in a tiny metal box caused me some trauma)

And I love a cow. Especially with a clanging bell. And when it's decided to block the path and just stares, you have to laugh. Then, once to walked around her, her mates decide to block the path too... Well, just keep smiling and pray they don't decide to lift their tails as you pass ;)

My favourite photograph from today!

Lunch by the See in Zürich at a very smart restaurant!
With Prosecco of course!

A kamikaze trail run - so hot!

And dinner in Stein am Rhein with 2/3 boys!

Great to see Yvette when we dropped off Jude.
Great to visit Winti and all my old haunts.
Great to visit Konstanz although slightly odd not to be reclaiming tax from a previous visit!

This still makes me laugh too!

A very long list of smiles today:
An amusing taxi driver who kept telling us that we had 'lovely boys'
'Capturing' 8 owls as we rushed through security at the airport.
John's Senator status getting us fast tracked.
Extra water and a newspaper on board.
The description of pain au chocolat as 'chocolate bread.'
Being called 'Mr and Mrs Johnson' for the entire flight, even when the attendant had seen John's credit card!
A funny article about a nudist cruise in The Independent that had is all guffawing.
Arriving to find that Switzerlamd is still as we left it - clean and efficient!
Guarana - nectar of the gods!
Jude's face when he thought we had a Skoda as a hire car.
Kartause Ittingen - a little slice of heaven on Earth.
An exhilarating exciting run in the woods.
Delicious dinner.
An evening 'constitutional'.
A lit path to bed.

Yet another owl! This one was found at Moor Hall on an 8 mile run that should have 'harvested' 3 owls, but the Donkey Sanctuary was shut when I got there (7 miles into my run!) so I'll have to go back again another day.
Very hot for running but I enjoyed the shady bits, and I've finally submitted my entry for the Oxford Half Marathon :)
