This cheeky chappy arrived today - I'm

so happy, and so is Jude who has christened him Reuben after Isaac vetoed Robin as a name due to negative associations! Can't wait for Christmas now!

I'd better watch this small black monkey though as he's intent on having a vest to match his hat...

We played a family game of Cheat - auf Deutsch, Mogler. And I won! Favourite plays were ein Bube (in fact, any number of jacks!) drei Sechse and vier Asse (possibly incorrect German but made us laugh!)

An ice cream at The Pear Tree Creperie made us smile as did tasty granary bread for lunch. 

John's happy with his new map (that's him lost in it for the next week!)

Cloud watching is fun. 

Silly pink wigs are also fun - and the parcel that arrived today filled me with great joy!

A tidy garage is also the cause for huge smiles - now to work on the tidy house...

And I was bored so I went for a cycle ride.  Lovely.

I like Norman - when told that his swiss roll was fat, bold and creamy, he replied "It's for men!" in his  Scottish accent. And he served his Swiss roll on a skateboard!

And I finally changed my location on Twitter today. After a year it really needed doing; however, although my physical location may be the UK, I'll always be a Swiss Miss at heart!

I am apparently the best Mum ever for buying this for Jude, plus filling the cupboards with tasty treats and a variety of juices.

Easily pleased!

And John is the best 'food courier' ever for bringing home Rösti, Eistee, Hönig and Pain Paillasse Rustico :)

Good to see the boys playing together on the trampoline (now it's been reclaimed from the holly hedge and cleaned!)

Not quite sure what the game involved but it was causing great hilarity.

What made me smile today?

Sunshine.

A slightly chaotic church service.

A good run.

And Geraint Thomas winning the Commonwealth Games road race. Anyone who finished is a hero but I'm so glad he won as he's a good bloke who works hard for his team and rarely gets a chance to shine for himself. And he's always been our hero. Here he is in April 2012, making Jude's day - read about it in the accompanying post

Taking pictures of sports cars is perfectly normal when you're the mother of boys. As is accompanying them into shops like Cex and Game whilst they refuse to accompany you into La Senza and look suspiciously at the bag from said shop even if it contains a pair of lounging trousers ;)

And today I was allowed to have a 'Sex me up' juice (that's passion fruit, ginger and apple) from Joe and the Juice as we were all out together and it was busy so the boys could be anonymous.

Loved seeing Jo Pavey win a bronze medal this evening at the Commonwealth Games.

And shopping always makes me smile whether it's in shops or online!
