These animal photos from Twitter made me smile too.@Fascinatingpics: This lizard looks like he's just hatched an evil plan to take over the world. http://t.co/GSmrIhlY3YAnd I went for a bike ride. First exercise since my broken ankle. Hurrah!

Up very early today to fly home but smiles were raised by all being allowed in the Swiss Lounge, Jude and Isaac insisting that 6am is a perfectly reasonable hour to eat Mövenpick ice cream and having no one in front of us on the plane so being able to fall asleep on my table without being jiggled.
I've saved the above photograph for a few days - part of an advertisement (below) for Technorama, the science museum just outside Winti. It's for an exhibition about noises. Amused us all!
And here's another advertisement that made us smile, especially given how many Gipfel we've eaten in the last few days!
I've spent the whole day thinking it's Saturday - I blame lack of sleep.

Gobsmackingly beautiful Switzerland.
This is what I miss most - lakes, hills, and snowy mountains peeking through the clouds.
San Salavatore in Lugano today - delicious lunch atop the mountain, a nature walk (bit of a challenge given my recovering ankle), funicular railways and a walk along the lake from Paradiso to Lugano before the train back to Zürich.
And funny advertisements too :) This will look good on the classroom wall.
Got to be up early tomorrow to go home - can I smile at 5am I wonder??

A train ride to Rapperswil where we found large letters in the street as above and below as well as beautiful roses in the castle/chapel gardens.
A boat ride from Rapperswil to Zürich - not the sunniest day but beautiful.
And a lovely evening spent with the ZOBI and family; delicious food, good company, Prosecco and lots of fun with my favourite little Swiss Misses making bracelets.

Top smiles today! I saw so many friends at ISW and in Winti. Thank you all for making the effort to come for coffee and/or lunch or say hi at school. It was great to see you all - just sorry I was too busy chatting to take any photographs (of people!) So good to be back!
Quote of the day has to be my "how did you do that?" as I saw Beate with new baby. I meant how didn't I know but everyone was a little concerned that I needed a lesson on the birds and bees...
Thank you for the chocolates Carmen!

We're in Switzerland. I'm smiling broadly and I'm not alone! Jude and Isaac are also very happy as they haven't been back since we left last July. John isn't so excited as he comes every week!

This made me smile yesterday morning. That's how I look as I get into a lovely hot bath! Possibly less hairy though ;)

Laughter therapy was... Fun!
Lots of smiling and laughing exercises. And an epic marshmallow battle that continued longer than Laughing John had intended, including into the relaxation phase; when we were supposed to be lying on the floor chilling, I was being pelted with marshmallows. Not sure if this was because I'd been chucking them previously or because I was next to the head teacher and was getting the fallout! Either way, it was great fun.
Water fight at the end of term I think!
Physio this afternoon - getting an appointment made me smile as did my pathetic attempt at balancing on one foot. The exercises did not make me smile as they made my ankle hurt. It's for my own good though!
HIGNFY had some classic lines tonight. And I'm looking forward to catching up with The Fast Show. I was upstairs having a bath and missed most of it.
And it's half term!

Big smile today as I walked to Sutton and wandering slowly around the shops. And my ankle didn't object too much.
Also pleased that I've got a Physio appointment tomorrow; the Dr said it would be 2 weeks before an appointment which is ridiculous!
And we have laughter therapy at school today so I'm going in to get the benefit. I'll report back!
My "new hobby" has entered a new phase! I bought a loom in Poundland so have an alternative way of joining elastic bands (see wrist in front of my UP Band)
Since taking the picture I've made another 5 including a LFC one and a Swiss one.

Today's photo is courtesy of Kathy who saw it in a window in Chipping Camden. Thanks!
And then there was Jude's pizza made in Food Tech - perfect if you don't like cheese!

Someone needs to finish the bottle of red wine he'd nearly finished - and the boys are underage.
I get a whole bed to myself - which is good when you have an ankle that can't quite decide if it's comfortable or not.
I compensate by buying the boys treats - so frappuccinos all round this afternoon.
And if he's away a long time, presents!
But most of all, it makes me appreciate how much better life is when he's around.

Sunshine in the garden reading a book (finished it too)
Lunch at The Pear Tree Creperie - delicious!
Boy smiles - Jude made us smile suggesting someone might be taking a leap year before going to Uni. We knew what he meant!
Cycling smiles - Cav won the final stage of Tour of California - but only just as he celebrated as he approached the line and was nearly caught. And Wiggo won the whole thing.
Shopping smiles - a SeaSalt sale shop proved too exciting to resist although I wish I'd found it before my size was virtually sold out - or that I could fit in an 8!

John is home - hurrah! And he's bought me back 'something Aussie' - in fact several things.
Made me smile when he arrived back ahead of time and brought me a cup of tea in bed. Followed by Isaac who had made the cup of tea!
The boys were given koala bears and boomerangs. Lots of smiles this afternoon as they tried them out in the Country Valley Park. Initial efforts weren't overly impressive but they got the hang of it. And then Jude threw hos boomerang into a tree surrounded by dense undergrowth and stinging nettles. 30 minutes of searching armed with my crutches as beating sticks and boomerang was finally found.
And that made us all smile! Lots!

This was posted by my friend Fátima. An inspiring lady. I've never seen her without a smile on her face, whatever the circumstances, and she makes me smile. Huge hugs to you guapa xx
And this little chap is so cute!
I've finally finished planning a mammoth presentation - it's taken all week.
The sun shone at just the right time for me to sit and enjoy my lunch.
Isaac's y10 review meeting went really well and I managed to speak to the lovely Mr W without blushing ;)
I watched the last episode of Prey and John Simm was proved innocent. Hurrah!
And John will be home tomorrow.
(That's my husband not Mr Simm just to clarify) 😉

My boy playing his trumpet in his orchestra concert. They were very good! I unfortunately didn't think to record the audio until towards the end. But here are two "Boos" for you to get the idea.
It was nice to actually be able to see him; he's normally either too far away or hidden behind someone tall!

Balloons courtesy of John tomorrow in Melbourne.
Delicious lunch at Mum's.
Didn't get soaked in the way home.
Helpful boys.
Used up all my elastic bands on bracelets and various embellishments for cuddly animals!
In bed by 10 and watching TV feeling snoozy.
Night x
