I was mid sentence about family words in Spanish this afternoon when I looked up and out of the unusual skylight and spotted a tree covered in blossom. Cue the entire Y3 class being invited to look up with me.
And on my return home...

Hurrah! Spring is springing up all over our garden!

Also making me smile today, a fun staff meeting that involved singing HSM, demonstrating passion with Josh the NQT and dancing badly.

Two 'trees' today that made me smile.

The totem pole in Sutton Park...

...and this "tree in a cardigan" that John and Jude saw today in Brienz.

Huge smiles when I visited Whitehouse Common - it was lovely to see so many familiar faces and be welcomed so warmly.
And Isaac and I have continued to find my Mum getting in and out of the Fiat 500 very amusing; she insists on sitting in the back and it only has 2 doors!

The boys were taking ÖSD exams this morning so we decided to get out and enjoy the sunshine this afternoon. We went up to Bruderhaus and haivng paid our respects to the recently deceased wolf :o(, looked at the gorgeous horses, deer and antelope, and had an ice-cream (the boys)
Then we walked back down the hill as we couldn't be doing with waiting for the bus - and it was downhill! Glad we did as we came across this smiling stump - and his three friends. How cheery!

My favourite animal picture from today - there are many more!

Things that made me smile today
The boys feel their exams. went well.
The sun shone.
I had a great run.
I found a new game app that is engrossing us all - Icomania!
I have a new pair of walking shoes, a shirt and a jacket, all bought in a sale!
Chasing Jude around the living room trying to raspberry his stomach.

Lovely to see that, despite the constant subzero temperatures of the last few weeks, the trees are getting ready for spring and budding. Hurrah!

Following on from yesterday, this one had us in stitches too!

Other things that made me smile today
I remembered the discussion I was having with the boys on the way to school the other day. I commented that the name of the German band Die Toten Hosen means The dead trousers. So we thought of some band names of our own. Jude won with The Daydreaming Dungarees. If I had a band...
Tonight was Fajiiiiiiiiitas night :o)
A very hot shower after a very cold run.

How could I not smile as I ran through the woods in bright sunshine through deep fluffy snow? I guess running isn't everyone's cup of tea but it puts a smile on my face, particularly on beautiful days like today.

Things I heard today that made me smile
I backed a displayboard (another love of mine that is not shared by everyone!)
I was told I was wonderful for doing it.
My cakes sold out at the Bake Sale.
My Mum sent me an email - her 2nd one ever - saying she'd read the ISW magazine - online! She's getting very clever!
